  • May 7, 2010 4:05 pm: Local News and Weather Summary. Lead: Arrest made in Lebanon Stabbing. News Host: Jim Willhight has the update.

    Arrest this afternoon at about 1:30 pm by Lebanon Police detectives. Arrested Zebulun Myers Fry, 22, of Lebanon on a charge of second-degree assault in connection to an April 17 stabbing. Fry was temporarily held in the Lebanon Justice Center and later transported to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged on the assault charge.

    Detectives were conducting a follow-up investigation regarding an April 17 altercation in the 200 block of W. Sherman Street in Lebanon. During the altercation another 22-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his arm.

    After the altercation the victim was transported to Lebanon Samaritan Community Hospital by a friend.

    Lebanon police were notified at that time about the incident. The victim was treated and released a short time later.

    The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Klint Sheets at 541-258-4320.
